Validus Group Brings Onboard Anindo Mukherjee as a Strategic Advisor
- Anindo Mukherjee is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Fullerton Financial International Holdings, based in Singapore.
- He has extensive experience in investing and building lending businesses across China, ASEAN, South Asia & Middle East. He is a well-respected board member having held positions including Chairman for a housing finance company, Chairman of Audit committees and Risk Committees and member of Nomination and remuneration committees and IT committees. He is additionally associated with Evolution X Debt Capital as a member of their Risk Committee, Singapore Management University – LKCSB as an Executive-in-residence

Validus Investment Holdings Pte Ltd (Validus Group), Southeast Asia’s #1 SME lending marketplace, today announced the appointment of Anindo Mukherjee as a Strategic Advisor to the group. Anindo will provide strategic guidance to the group and its subsidiaries as they embark on their next phase of growth from leadership positions in respective ASEAN markets to capturing dominant market share.
Anindo is a financial services veteran with over three decades of experience at the board and senior management levels across the areas of investment and risk management. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Fullerton Financial International Holdings overseeing its operational activities in Asia. He is also an Executive-In-Residence at the Singapore Management University, where he provides mentorship and connectivity between academia and industry for the students.

Biography
Anindo Mukherjee currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Fullerton Financial International Holdings, overseeing the company’s operational activities across Asia. In his role, he works closely with portfolio companies to implement business plans, manage risk and governance, develop operational capabilities and enable digital innovation. FFH is a long-term strategic and operating investor in financial and related services in Emerging Markets committed to building differentiated business models focused on the Mass Market and SME segments. He is also an Executive-In-Residence at the Singapore Management University, where he plays a vital role in the connectivity between academia and industry.
With over three decades of experience in the financial services industry, Anindo has worked with companies in the Retail, Commercial, Digital Banking, and micro-finance sectors spanning ASEAN, China, South Asia, and the Middle East. His Board experience includes being Chairman of a housing finance company, Chairman of Audit and Risk Committees, and a member of Nomination and Remuneration, and IT committees. Before joining FFH, he held various senior roles including Chief Risk Officer in Fullerton India, Regional Credit Officer for the Consumer Business for South Asia at Standard Chartered Bank & Head of Retail Credit & Risk at HDFC Bank. Anindo started his initial career at Bank of America and ABN Amro Bank.
Outside work, Anindo enjoys mentoring start-ups in Singapore, combining industry experience with a passion for mentoring and teaching. Leveraging a successful track record in startups and turnarounds including in the micro-finance sector, he is passionate about the confluence of sustainability and social entrepreneurship to drive long-lasting change in the business world. He has been instrumental in setting up and managing greenfield projects focused on the underbanked and underserved segments in China, India, Cambodia & Myanmar including developing their credit risk models and implementation of digital transformation agenda. He is also a member of the portfolio review committee at a Singapore based Credit Fund.
Anindo holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant and a Cost & Management Accountant. He is based in Singapore.
